I love this place. There are a lot of negative reviews about New China’s customer service, but I think they’re great. My order is always right, food has always tasted good, and they do know I have placed a call in order when I walk in. I don’t expect them to kma when I walk in the door. There is a culture difference people should respect. This Chinese restaurant has been there for many years for a reason. To people with bad reviews- stop being so sensitive.

Very quiet little place, have been here a few times. I actually had orange chicken for the first time here, and it was wonderful. The food truly has never disappointed me. The lady at the counter *can* come off as a little "stern" or "tired to be here", however the faded signage and somewhat worn look of the seating to me shows that this place has been in business for a long time, so my guess is that this is all more or less 'routine' to her, just another day. It's her job, and we all have been there with our own jobs, I'm sure. As I already mentioned, the atmosphere is a little "worn" but that's something I've grown up around, so to me it feels right at home. I'm on my phone so I can't seem to find the button to add a picture but everything was wonderful.

Edit. After reading the negative reviews. Seems like a bunch of snowflakes. So what if there is a language barrier. They wouldn’t be in business if they weren’t doing things right. You people need to get a grip or just kick rocks back to your trailers I’ve been coming here since I was in high school(2012) and the food has never disappointed me or my family. All my friends love this place as well. Yes their English may not be the best but they are very hard working people, So Be patient!

I always come from the downtown Lexington area to this restaurant and I pass other stores like this on the way. They are the best in this area in my personal opinion. Restaurant and kitchen area is always clean and well kept. I come here often, that the lady at the counter knows what I normally get

This place has some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I have traveled all the way around the country and I eat Chinese everywhere and this place stacked up at gun monk some of the best. Best Chinese food in Lexington!

We ordered Chinese for the first time from here and it’s amazing! Everything is good and taste fresh it was ready in 20 minutes when we picked up place was very clean!

Update/Edit: After more than a year later and New China is still knocking it out the park for myself and my family! EVERY TIME Y’ALL! At least every other time she reminds me of one or two things that I forget to order when I call in. They have been wonderful and if you have one bad experience here, I suggest giving it another try. If you have more than one bad experience then my bet is the problem isn’t with their service or food… The problem is more than likely that you’re the problem. Lol _________________________________________ Old review This place is awesome! My order is always correct, always fresh and always delicious! I have been ordering from here for about 2 months now, at least once a week, and have never had any issues at all. The lady who always takes my order is so nice and friendly. (You may not be able to “hear her smile” over the phone but she really is great) After ordering from them twice she had my order memorized (an order for 4 people!) I had read some reviews on here and it took a year of living in the area before we tried New China and I can’t say how many times I have kicked myself for not trying it sooner. Please do not be discouraged from ordering from here because of the bad reviews. I let the naysayers talk me out of my now favorite place to eat for a very long time.
